Quran revision tracker
Strong hifz is built on three cycles: new memorisation (sabaq), recent revision (sabqi) and old revision (manzil). This tracker puts all three on one weekly sheet so nothing silently slips, and the weekend column shows the whole week at a glance.
Daily row: new memorisation (sabaq)
- Today's new lines, written and recited three times
- Tajweed focus point marked (madd, ghunnah, qalqalah)
- Recited to teacher or parent without looking
Midweek check: recent revision (sabqi)
- Last 5-7 days of sabaq recited together, one after another
- Any verse stumbled on: mark it, re-memorise, recite again tomorrow
- Recording made once a week to hear progress
Weekend: old revision (manzil)
- One full juz or section recited from memory
- Mistakes logged with the verse reference
- Logged verses get a second recite before next weekend
Tutor tip: The three-cycle system is how hifz has always been taught: new work daily, recent work protected, old work maintained. If you want teachers who run this system weekly, our Quran programme does exactly that.
