The facts to gather

- โ KS2 SAT results: the percentage meeting expected standard in reading, writing and maths
- โ Progress measures: whether the school adds value or just attracts able intake
- โ Class sizes and number of forms per year
- โ SEN provision if relevant

- โ Whether the school culture suits your child's personality
- โ How the school handles bullying, friendships and mental health
- โ Whether teachers are happy and stay (high turnover is a warning sign)
- โ The quality of communication between school and parents
- โ Whether the playground is a happy place at break time
